Postal Test Kits - partial dispatch only

Important information about STI Postal Test Kits - November 2020

Shortage of supplies and partial kit despatch

We are currently experiencing high demand for our online STI postal test kits and some consumables (parts of the kit that we need for the testing process) are in short supply.

We are busy sourcing materials, but in the meantime some patients who request a kit online may only receive a partial kit.

If you've requested a postal test kit for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea  your kit will be complete and you can take the test and return the sample as instructed inside.

If you requested a postal kit for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea , PLUS  bloods for testing of HIV and Syphilis, the DBS (dry blood spot) part of the kit may be missing and instead you will have some information inside as to what to do next.

  • If you are experiencing symptoms of an STI or feel you have a risk of HIV /Syphilis  please call us on 0300 123 5474 so we can arrange a telephone consultation for you to help identify your needs and a quicker way to get tested.
  • If you were requesting an online HIV/Syphilis test as a check-up /part of your regular screening then please wait for the remainder of your kit to follow once supplies have been received. We expect this to be within weeks.

What next

Anyone who requested a full kit *(including dry blood spot for HIV and Syphilis) online since November 2nd 2020, but has only received a Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea kit is  being kept on a ‘partial  kit’ list so that we can send the remainder of the kit once supplies have arrived. This will happen automatically.

You will receive a separate package, consumables, instructions and a freepost returns envelope.

If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to discuss your STI postal test kit further please call us on 0300 123 5474  - (phone lines are open 8.00am - 5.00pm Mon - Fri).

We apologise for this interruption to our services. We are working hard to provide our usual quality services to you at this unprecedented time.

Thank you for your understanding
