Access over Easter 2021
30 March 2021
- Our telephone line will be closed from Thursday 1 April at 5.00pm and will reopen on Tuesday 6 April at 8.00am.
- Emergency contraception: This is available for free from a range of Wirral pharmacies who supply it from their community premises in partnership with our service. Many are offering telephone consultations and collection. More information can be found at Pharmacy Services. Please call the phamracy in advance to check opening times during the Easter weekend.
- Free postal STI kits: Test kits are still available online, but we ask in these difficult times that you only request a kit if you have symptoms of an infection or feel you have taken a recent sexual health risk. Asymptomatic testing /screening (your regular ‘check up’ when you don’t have symptoms) is not advised during the pandemic to help protect and support local laboratory resource.
- NHS 111: This service can help if you need urgent medical help or you're not sure what to do. They will ask questions about your symptoms so you get the help you need. If you need to go to A&E, NHS 111 will book an arrival time. This might mean you spend less time in A&E. This also helps with social distancing. You can get help from 111.nhs.uk or call 111. It's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
