Brook Wirral

Brook clinic changes - important information as of Monday 23 March 2020

Due to the changing nature of COVID-19 and our commitment to keeping people as safe as possible, our walk-in and wait clinics are temporarily suspended.

Clinic appointments will only be allocated following a telephone assessment. This enables us to provide care to those most in need of sexual health or contraception services and reduce the amount of people in the waiting room.

Clinic location: Brook, 14 Whetstone Ln, Birkenhead CH41 2QR

Telephone assessment:

Telephone assessments will be taking place Monday - Friday, 3.00pm - 4.00pm and Tuesday morning, 11.00am - 11.30am.

For a telephone assessment please call 0151 670 0177. During this call you will speak to one of our clinicians who will triage and assess your needs. You will then be provided with advice, signposted accordingly or we will make you an appointment.

Please do not turn up to clinic unless you have called us in advance and spoken to a clinician.

Before attending your appointment:
Firstly make sure you are well enough to attend.

Follow the government issued guidance on staying at home if you have possible coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms:

  • new continuous cough

  • high temperature

You must not attend your appointment if you have any of the above symptoms.

Upon arrival you will be asked to speak to our receptionist who will ask how you are feeling. This is to ensure you are well and aren’t showing any of the above symptoms.
