My Personal Health Checklist – following treatment for Chlamydia
If you have recently received treatment for Chlamydia following a positive test result, it is important to remain free of infection and do everything you can to stay safe and protected.
Please use this personal checklist to help you feel sure that treatment has been successful. I have taken my medication correctly
- I am sure my partner has received treatment: If your partner is untreated, you are at high risk of reinfection. You and your partner should abstain from sex until you’ve both completed treatment.
- I have told recent past partner(s): If you don't feel you want to do this you can ask our clinic staff to do this on your behalf. We will keep your details anonymous. It's the right thing to do as they may not know they are at risk and could be passing the infection on to others.
- I feel I know more about how I can prevent future STI’s and how I can access free condoms: Condoms are free - Sexual Health Wirral
- If you are under 25, we recommend that you have a repeat sexual health screen in 3 months’ time: This is because people under the age of 25 are at higher risk of reinfection with Chlamydia. Please follow the link below to access services: Chlamydia - Sexual Health Wirral
